On December 1, elevan officers of the Azerbaijani Border Troops who died on November 30 in the MI-17 helicopter crash were buried in the Second Martyrs’ Alley. Three more victims were interred in the family cemeteries.
The ceremony was attended by all the leadership of the Border Guard Service, heads of other law enforcement agencies and government representatives.
More than 10 thousand people took part in the farewell ceremony for the dead, which took place at the Pogranichnik Sports Complex.
The helicopter crash under unclear circumstances in the mountains of the Khizi region occurred at the time of landing. The cause of the disaster has not yet been established.
