US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earl Litzenberger is not informed about the details of Washington”s proposal to hold the next meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia in the United States. The Ambassador said this when answering journalists’ questions in Baku on Saturday.
At the same time, he added: “However, I know about the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the two states in Moscow and am very pleased with the statements made after this meeting. I hope for the continuation of negotiations and a peaceful solution to the conflict.”
At the request of the Turan news agency to comment on the statements of the Azerbaijani authorities to conduct broad reforms, the Ambassador noted that he was satisfied with the reform efforts: “Azerbaijan has made great progress in this area, but Azerbaijan is a young state and there is still considerable work to be done in this direction. We support reform in the country. ”
When asked about the state of freedom of speech and human rights in Azerbaijan, the Ambassador noted that these values are the most significant in US policy and he, as the US Ambassador, will do everything possible to support these values in Azerbaijan.

Biz ölkədə islahatlar aparılmasını dəstəkləyirik”.
Azərbaycanda söz azadlığı və insan hüquqları sahəsində vəziyyət haqqında suala cavabda səfir qeyd edib ki, bu dəyərlər ABŞ-ın siyasətində çox əhəmiyyətlidir və o, Amerikanın səfiri olaraq Azərbaycanda bu məqsədlərin dəstəklənməsi üçün əlindən gələni edəcək.
