Public activist Narmin Shahmarzade appealed to the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service (SGB) in connection with interference in her personal life.
The activist believes that this was due to the rally of feminists in Baku on March 8, and she was one of the organizers.
“After the action my account was hacked. Content with criticism of the authorities and the police, video materials were removed. In addition, the correspondence taken from the “messenger” related to my private life was falsified, the content and dates of the entries were changed, and this is spread on the Internet,” the activist said in a statement. Because my mobile phone number is noted in the correspondence, I receive numerous messages with insults and threats, and I receive continuous calls,” the activist said in a statement.
In this regard, she, referring to the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service, calls what is happening a crime and reminds “to find and punish the guilty is the task of the state.”
“Reports in the media about a crime are grounds for initiating a criminal case. I will also apply to the court separately to initiate a criminal case,” Shahmarzade said.
However, she calls on the power structures, designed to guard the rights of citizens to find and bring to justice the criminals.
“Otherwise, I will have every reason to believe that state bodies are behind these crimes,” Shahmarzadeh emphasizes.
Public activist Bakhtiyar Hajiyev, mentioned in Shahmarzade’s correspondence, also called on these departments to investigate the fact of interference in his private life and the dissemination of false information about him.
The day before, he also met with Ombudswoman Sabina Aliyeva and asked for assistance in an objective investigation.
Hajiyev expressed satisfaction with the results of the meeting. “The Ombudswoman accepted my complaint and promised to apply to law enforcement agencies, to keep the issue under control,” he said.
