The executive power of Baku again did not allow a rally of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) scheduled for March 2.
The city administration motivated the refusal by the fact that after the meeting of the NCDF on January 19, actions against public safety were committed, the rest and normal activities of institutions and vehicles around the venue of the action were disturbed.
For the third time, the city authorities for these reasons refuse to authorize opposition rallies. Earlier there was no permission to hold rallies on January 26 and February 23.
The NCDF regards this as a violation of the freedom of assembly.
It is indicated that on the eve and after the rally on January 19, about 64 people were detained. At the same time, 43 were arrested administratively for periods ranging from 10 to 30 days. Another 21 people fined.
The NCDF holds rallies demanding the release of political prisoners, fighting corruption, solving the problem of credit debts of the population, and carrying out democratic reforms.

Şəhər administrasiyası imtinanı DQMŞ-nin 19 yanvar mitinqindən sonra ictimai təhlükəsizliyə yönələn hərəkətlərin törədilməsi, aksiyanın keçirildiyi yerin ətrafında müəssisələrin və nəqliyyatın normal fəaliyyətinin pozulması ilə əsaslandırıb.
Artıq üçüncü dəfədir ki, şəhər administrasiyası eyni əsaslarla müxalifətin mitinqinə icazə verməkdən imtina edir. Bundan öncə 26 yanvar və 23 fevral mitinqlərinə icazə verilməyib.
DQMŞ bunu toplaşma azadlığının pozulması kimi qiymətləndirir.
Qeyd olunur ki, 19 yanvar mitinqi ərəfəsində və sonra 64 nəfər saxlanılıb. 43 nəfər inzibati qaydada 10 sutkadan 30 sutkayadək həbs edilib. 21 nəfər cərimə olunub.
DQMŞ mitinqləri siyasi məhbusların azadlığa buraxılması, korrupsiya qarşı mübarizə, əhalinin kredit borcları məsələsinin həlli, demokratik islahatların aparılması tələbilə keçirir.
