[:en]Abbas Huseyn, an activist of the Muslim Unity Movement convicted of Nardaran events, is on a hunger strike, according to his relatives. Huseyn protests against the ban on the transfer of food products from home to prisoners in connection with the quarantine regime. The food given to prisoners is of poor quality. The products sold in the prison shop are expensive and not every convict can afford them.
However, the head of the press service of the Prison Service, Mehman Sadigov, denied information about the hunger strike of Huseyn. According to him, no one is on hunger strike in prisons. He also denied allegations of the sale of food in the colonies at inflated prices.
