The youth organization of the Musavat party organized a picket in front of the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan on Friday.
They protested against the use of “Iskander-M” missiles during the Second Karabakh war and demanded explanations from Russia.
They also demanded that the Russian peacekeepers not interfere with the movement of Azerbaijanis in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The protesters raised posters with slogans: “Russia – hands off Karabakh!”, “Karabakh – Azerbaijan!”, “Lachin – Azerbaijan!”, “Ivan – go home!
The police did not interfere with the action. The protesters read a resolution stating that the missile attack on Shusha with “Iskander-M” missiles was not only a manifestation of support for Armenia, but also an aggression against Azerbaijan.
Attention is also drawn to the fact that these missiles are capable of carrying nuclear warheads and are subject to liquidation in accordance with the Russian-American agreements.
