Today in the Surakhani District Court, chaired by Jeyhun Gadimov, the judicial investigation of the case of the adviser to the chairman of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), Mammad Ibrahim, was completed. The prosecutor offered to sentence him to 6 months 2 days in prison.
Mammad Ibrahim was arrested on September 30, 2015 and convicted of hooliganism for 3 years. The day before the end of the term he was charged with illegal possession of a knife. On September 28, the Yasamal court arrested Ibrahim for 2 months.
Witness Mirza Iskenderov spoke at today’s meeting. He was a prisoner in Prison Number 16 and was brought in as a witness. He stated that he did not see who put the knife under Ibrahim”s pillow. Iskenderov was invited when the knife was already “discovered”, and he simply signed the protocol.
Then the lawyer Nazim Musayev spoke. He noted that the witnesses had shown that the knife could not have belonged to Mammad Ibrahim. The indictment also does not indicate the origin of the knife. There is no utility room in the prison where knives are kept. So it was brought from outside the prison. However, the investigation did not conduct any inquiry.
The defender asked to acquit Ibrahim, and the second lawyer Javad Javadov supported his colleague. He also drew attention to the characteristics given to Ibrahim by the authorities of the prison.
It says that Mammad Ibrahim is an adviser to the chairman of the Popular Front Party and professes Salafism. PFPA is a legally operating organization, and Salafism is not prohibited in Azerbaijan, the lawyer said.
The trial will continue on January 10 at 11.30.[:az]Bu gün Suraxanı Rayon Məhkəməsində hakim Ceyhun Qədimovun sədrliyilə AXCP sədrinin müşaviri Məmməd İbrahimin işi üzrə məhkəmə istintaqı başa çatıb. Prokuror onun 6 ay 2 gün azadlıqdan məhrum olunmasını istəyib.
M.İbrahim 2015-ci il sentyabrın 30-da həbs olunub və xuliqanlıq ittihamı ilə 3 il azadlıqdan məhrum edilib. Cəza müddətinin başa çatmasına bir gün qalmış ona qarşı qanunsuz silah saxlamaq ittihamı irəli sürülüb. Sentyabrın 28-da Yasamal Rayon Məhkəməsi M.İbrahimi 2 ay müddətinə həbs edib.
Bugünkü iclasda şahid Mirzə İsgəndərov çıxış edib. O 16 saylı koloniyanın məhbusu olub və iş üzrə şahid qismində cəlb edilib. O deyib ki, M.İbrahimin yastığının altına bıçağı kimin qoyduğunu görməyib.
M.İsgəndərovu çağıranda artıq bıçaq “tapılmışdı”, o, sadəcə, protokolu imzalayıb.
Sonra vəkil Nazim Musayev çıxış edib. O, diqqəti ona yönəldib ki, şahid ifadələri göstərdi ki, bıçaq M.İbrahimə məxsus olmaya bilər. İttihamnamə aktında bıçaqın mənşəyi göstərilməyib. Koloniyada bıçağı saxlamaq üçün yardımçı otaq yoxdur. Deməli, onu koloniyaya kənardan gətiriblər. Lakin istintaq heç bir araşdırma aparmayıb.
Vəkil M.İbrahimə bəraət verilməsini xahş edib. İkinci vəkil Cavad Cavadov həmkarını dəstəkləyib. O diqqəti koloniya rəhbərliyinin M.İbrahimə verdiyi xasiyyətnaməyə yönəldib. Orada yazılıb ki, M.İbrahim AXCP sədrinin müşaviridir və sələfiliyi təbliğ edir. AXCP qanunla fəaliyyət göstərən təşkilatdır, sələfilik isə Azərbaycanda qadağan olunmayıb, vəkil qeyd edib.
