Humbatova refused to testify. The investigation was launched under article 294.1 of the Criminal Code (falsification of evidence). The reason for this was the statement by one of Humbatova’s clients that she allegedly submitted a fake document to the court.
However, this document was not accepted by the court and there are no grounds for an investigation.
Humbatova appealed to the head of the Anti-Corruption Office with a request to close the case.
She is convinced that she is being persecuted for political reasons, for advocating for human rights violations.
