An employee of the Azadlig newspaper, Tezekhan Miralamli, was taken from his home to the Baku Police Headquarters today. This was reported by his son.
He noted that Miralamli was taken away due to his status published about police actions the nigt before.
“Today my father was taken to the Baku police. As I understood from the conversation, the police came for my father because of the status published on social networks last night,” the journalist’s son said.
In turn, the head of the Baku police press service Elshad Hajiyev said that he did not have information about Miralamli.
In early March, a criminal case was initiated against Miralamli under the article Hooliganism, based on a complaint from Ata Abdullayev representing himself as a “video blogger” .
